Sunny Afternoon

So I woke up yesterday and laid in bed for a bit browsing the internet as I do and I read about the impending, rare and very awesome solar eclipse. "That's in about half an hour here" I noticed, "I could improvise a pinhole viewer and go take a look"... "nah, I expect the view will be rubbish from here and it means getting out of bed.".

Little did I know that Oman was possibly the best place on the planet to see the eclipse, Thierry Legault knew that, he traveled all the way here from France just to take this photo. It features the silhouette of the international space station (doing its best impersonation of a TIE fighter) which was apparently visible for just one second. Well... Damn!
